This season hasn’t been good to Anthony Edwards at all. First, his team, the Minnesota Timberwolves, has struggled since they traded away Karl Anthony Towns to the New York Knicks last October. Then, at the end of 2024, he was fighting paternity allegations, until a DNA test confirmed him to be the father to ex-girlfriend Ayesha Howard’s latest baby. If you didn’t know, Ayesha Howard also is the mother of Lil Baby‘s oldest son, Jason.
Howard hurried to court to contest the paternity case he filed against her in Georgia. In court documents, Howard requested that the 23-year-old Edwards’s claim be dismissed. According to Howard, Edwards mainly resides in or near Minnesota.
Edwards claims that Howard, his ex-girlfriend, only had the child in Los Angeles in order to obtain higher child support after she sued him for paternity in California. On Oct. 22, 2024, Howard, 36, filed a petition in Los Angeles Superior Court, according to court documents. According to Howard, on Oct. 14, 2024, a daughter called Aubri Summer Howard was born to her and Edwards and she has been living in California since, which is why she is suing for paternity there. She stated that she had no intention of returning to Georgia after moving to California in August 2023.
Howard said Edwards’ efforts to get the child support established in Georgia appear to be “motivated by the assumption that a child support determination under Georgia law would be more favorable to him than one governed by California law.” Howard claimed in her filing that Edwards’ “bad faith approach” in the lawsuit “disregards fundamental principles of jurisdiction, due process, and fairness” by trying to participate in “forum-shopping.”
Shannon Jackson is the name of Edwards’ current girlfriend. They also have a daughter together. According to Page Six, there were rumors that Edwards and a lady named Ally had another baby named Amir.
