Kendrick Lamar got a clean sweep at the 2025 Grammy Awards powered by the hypnotic blockbuster “Not Like Us.”

K.Dot won for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Music Video — all for the song that created a seismic quake in popular culture and resulted in the mauling of Drake during their historic rap beef in 2024.

It is the first time in the history of the Grammy Awards that a rap song won both Record of the Year and Song of the Year, something that even the all-time great Michael Jackson was not even able to accomplish with the juggernaut album Thriller (“Beat It” won Record of the Year, but “Billie Jean” lost out on Song of the Year).

“At the end of the day, nothing’s more powerful than rap music. We are the culture,” Lamar said. “To the young artists, I just hope you respect the artform — it will get you where you need to go.”

‘Somebody get the broom’ because Kendrick sweeps

DJ Mustard, a producer of “Not Like Us,” joined Lamar on stage, noting that Lamar won every category that he was nominated in.

“Somebody get the broom out,” he joked.

Lamar was going up against formidable competition. Lamar was nominated for song of the year alongside Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” Billie Eilish’s “BIRDS OF A FEATHER,” Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die With A Smile,” Taylor Swift and Post Malone’s “Fortnight,” Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe!,” Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” and Beyoncé’s “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM.”
