Ye West’s millions after Shopify ban will shock you

If this is true, we cannot fault his marketing ability

Ye West claims that he made a bag when Shopify banned his website selling Nazi-inspired Yeezy items. In a since-deleted social media post, West addressed the move and asserted that his other business ventures continued to generate $40 million over the next 24 hours.

“I will write this more poetically in a bit cause right now I’m finishing my verse for Game’s album. The idea of being Jew-proof is I said all these politically incorrect things, and nobody was able to stop me, extort me, or threaten me to change anything,” West began. “And I made $40 million the next day between my different businesses. There’s a lot of Jewish people I know and love and still work with. The point I made and showed is that I am not under Jewish control anymore. In war, you take a couple losses. I lost one of my favorite Yeezy designers named Simon. He tailored the Grammy dress. This was a major loss. We lost Malcolm, who was our lead stylist and shopper and also found Simon. Maybe one day they will understand why I had to do what I did, and one day they will forgive my method.”

Ye West targets Shopify

Later in his statement, West came at Shopify directly. Ye said that he has always hated Shopify and accused them of doing “p*ssy sh*t.” The shopping platform banned him and his store after he ran a Super Bowl commercial to promote his Yeezy site and then began selling t-shirts with swastikas on them.

Shopify wasted no time explaining their decision to ban Ye’s Yeezy site from the platform in a statement “All merchants are responsible for following the rules of our platform. This merchant did not engage in authentic commerce practices and violated our terms, so we removed them from Shopify,” Shopify said in a statement to CBS MoneyWatch.

It’s been a weird month for Ye. First, he lost a few sponsors after his Grammy appearance next to his near-naked wife Bianca Censori. He then went on an explosive X rant that targeted Jews and took aim at and addressed a few other people. His X rant led to Travis Scott, Elon Musk, and other notable people unfollowing him on the platform. He then deleted his X account but quickly reinstated it. So why do you think Ye is doing all this in reality? Does he have new music on the way and he’s trying to drum up hype? Or is this truly how he feels, and he honestly doesn’t care who he offends anymore? It might be a little bit of both, but we are all on pins and needs waiting for what Ye does next.
