Nicki Minaj once again had to give Ray J a tongue-lashing and a warning after he left a flirtatious comment on one of her Instagram posts.

Ray J commented, “So beautiful” on a recent post, prompting an angry response from Minaj.
Minaj replied with an unmistakable order to fall back: “The next step is blocked. Choose wisely, sir 👀.”
Many fans agreed with Minaj’s admonishment of the “Love and Hip Hop Hollywood” star, with one person saying, “Fall back Ray J fall back 😂😂😂😂,” while a second person added, “No respect for anyone’s marriage.”

This exchange is not the first time Minaj and Ray have had an awkward interaction, and Minaj has had to shut him down. According to AllHipHop, Minaj had to shut down their Instagram live session in November 2024 for the same reason.
Ray J was apparently too complimentary of Minaj’s beauty and aura at that time, leading her to end their live session.
“Honestly, I’m a hang-up,” she barked at him. “‘Cuz we not gonna play like that.”

Social media was split on whether Ray J crossed the line after paying Minaj a high compliment.
One fan believes that Minaj is over-the-top and overdramatic. “Chile, see this why. I mean, I like her songs, but as a person, I can’t get into her.”
Another person sided with the Pink Barbz. “Are we forgetting when Rayj was saying he was obsessed with her/ so captivated by her. That’s very inappropriate to say about a married woman. He needs to respect her marriage.”
One person agrees, saying, “That’s a difference. That’s like a man who u and ur husband know personally under ur comments calling u beautiful. It’s inappropriate coming from him.”
A fourth fan, however, believes calling Minaj was innocuous. “I see nothing wrong with him calling her beautiful. Am sure millions of people feel the same way about her.”
The fifth person said, “I think he meant this as a compliment. Her natural beauty with no makeup is gorgeous. He wasn’t flirting. So beautiful is the perfect description.”
And the debate continued on Instagram. “It’s not just the comment. Ray J has been on her live ect… saying things like this woman is not married. She basically like keep it cute,“ while another person told Minaj to calm down. “Girl stop 😂😂😂it ain’t that deep 😂.”
