(Merrillville, IND) — It’s been almost a year since Dr. Maya Dominique, OB/GYN, launched an initiative in support of women’s health. To her surprise, the inaugural women’s health fair she hosted drew more than 400 attendees.
Fast forward to 2025, Dominique has introduced her non-profit organization Prenatal Well and expanded her signature event, renaming it the Women’s Wellness Fair, which will take place Saturday, April 26, 2025. Free and open to the public, the fair will take place at the Dean and Barbara White Center, 6600 Broadway in Merrillville, IND from 11:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.
Prenatal Well is committed to reducing maternal and infant morbidity and mortality through a holistic, patient-centered approach. “Our goal is to meet women where they are—emotionally, culturally, and physically—and help them feel seen, heard, and supported,” said Dr. Dominique. “This fair is about more than healthcare—it’s about building trust, offering resources, and empowering women to thrive.”
This year’s fair will once again bring the community together with free health screenings, interactive vendors, children’s entertainment, medical equipment demonstrations, giveaways, raffles, free haircuts, and more—all in an uplifting, family-friendly atmosphere.
The event is made possible through the generous support of our community sponsors: Transitional Residence for Youth, Youngblood Youth Development Inc., CareSource, Methodist Hospitals, NorthShore Health Centers, Legacy Foundation, Urban League of NWI, and Marram Health.
