Zoë Kravitz is in talks to direct How to Save a Marriage. This potential collaboration marks a significant step in her directing career, following her debut behind the camera.

The 36-year-old actress is set to follow up her directorial debut Blink Twice with the new movie, which is currently in the very early stages of development at Sony Pictures. The project represents her continued evolution from acclaimed actress to filmmaker.

Kravitz could be set for another reunion

According to Deadline, Kravitz could be set for a The Batman reunion on the movie, which is being produced by her co-star Robert Pattinson through his Icki Eneo Arlo banner. Their on-screen chemistry in the DC film appears to have translated into a productive creative partnership.

Plot details for How To Save A Marriage are still under wraps but the movie has been written by Ross Evans. Industry insiders suggest the film may explore complex relationship dynamics, though official details remain confidential.

Evans will executive produce, while Pattinson will work with his producing partner, Brighton McCloskey, alongside Entertainment 360’s Geoff Shaevitz and Evan Silverberg. This collaborative team brings diverse experience to the project.

The Batman, Part II

Meanwhile, Kravitz and Pattinson are set to reunite on screen in The Batman: Part II, although Pattinson recently admitted he fears he will be “old” by the time the DC superhero movie is made. The anticipated sequel has faced several production delays.

“I f—–g hope so,” Pattinson said, speaking with his Mickey 17 co-star Naomi Ackie about whether he’d play Batman again soon for Hero magazine. “I started out as young Batman and I’m going to be f—–g old Batman by the sequel. I’m 38, I’m old. I’m old, but I’m healthier. I think I’ve actually brought my biological age down a bit,” he said.

As well as Pattinson’s Caped Crusader, The Batman: Part II will see the return of Kravitz‘s Catwoman, Colin Farrell’s Penguin, Andy Serkis’s Alfred Pennyworth and Jeffrey Wright’s James “Jim” Gordon. The ensemble cast was widely praised for their performances in the first film.

The Batman: Part II was originally due to land in theaters in October 2026, though the movie was delayed to the following year to give director Matt Reeves more time to finish the story. The extra development time suggests an ambitious vision for the sequel.

Details are closely guarded

In February, Pattinson confirmed principal photography on The Batman: Part II would begin at the end of 2025. This timeline allows for the necessary pre-production work and scheduling accommodations for the busy cast.

“I think at the end of the year?” he said when asked about the production start date by Variety. “And I know what it’s about but I can’t tell anyone, but it’s like, it’s very cool. It’s very exciting.” His enthusiasm suggests compelling developments for his character.

The collaboration between Kravitz and Pattinson on How to Save a Marriage represents a growing trend of actors expanding into production and direction. Many performers are increasingly seeking creative control through these additional roles.

Sony Pictures has shown increasing interest in director-driven projects with strong creative vision, making this partnership a strategic move for both the studio and the filmmakers. The studio continues to diversify its slate beyond franchise tentpoles.

Industry analysts note that collaborations between actors who have established on-screen chemistry often translate to successful behind-the-scenes partnerships. Their previous work together provides a foundation of trust and creative understanding.

Collaborations become more common

The transition from co-stars to creative collaborators highlights the evolving nature of Hollywood partnerships and the blurring lines between acting and filmmaking. As more actors move into directing and producing, these multi-talented collaborations become increasingly common in the industry landscape.

For fans of both performers, this new project offers an exciting glimpse into their creative range beyond the superhero universe they currently share. Their continuing professional relationship suggests mutual respect and artistic alignment.
