Funk Flex is getting pummeled online for taking a blowtorch to Cassie after Diddy was exonerated of sex trafficking on Wednesday, July 2.
Sean “Diddy” Combs was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, but was acquitted of the most serious charges of racketeering (RICO) and sex trafficking. Diddy could have faced up to life in prison if he were found guilty on all five charges. The judge will announce the date of his sentencing in the coming days or weeks.
Funkmaster Flex, much like Diddy’s family, celebrated that the music mogul won’t be spending the rest of his life in prison. Flex also took the opportunity to torch Casandra “Cassie” Ventura for sparking a “witch hunt.”
The Hot 97 DJ told his 4 million Instagram followers that the bombshell trial was a “A STRECH AND WITCH HUNT,” adding he’s known Diddy for years and never witnessed anything “OUT OF ORDER.”
Flex said, “I THINK CASSIE HAS BEEN THROUGH ALOT ESPECIALLY AT A YOUNG AGE,” Flex began, adopting a sympathetic tone in the beginning. “SHE IS SUCH A NICE PERSON AND ALWAYS GAVE OFF GOOD ENERGY! I HOPE HER AND HER FAMILY OVERCOME ALL OF THE PAIN THEY ARE GOING THROUGH!”
Flex also acknowledged that “THE ENTERTAINMENT BUISNESS IS A DANGEROUS ENVIRONMENT THAT EVERYONE IS NOT BUILT FOR!”
But then Flex put Cassie on full-furnace blast for going after Diddy’s bag to the tune of $20 million — and then still taking the stand to testify against her former lover and boss.
“I DO THINK YOU AND YOUR LAWYERS SHOULD GIVE IT A REST!” he wrote. “YOU THREATENED TO DROP A BOOK THEN GOT PAID OUT TO NOT DROP THE BOOK! ( IF YOU CARED SO MUCH TO GET YOUR MESSAGE OUT YOU WOULD OF DROPPED THE BOOK) I GET IT… ITS A CASE.. YOU HAD TO TESTIFY… YOU 30Mil UP AND 10Mil UP FROM HOTEL!”
Flex added that he does not, nor did he ever, see Cassie as a victim.
“YOU PLAN THIS ‘LICK’,” he added. “PLEASE DONT BE MAD AT ME BUT I DONT SEE U AS A ‘VICTIM.’”
Summarizing the situtation, Funkmaster said he Ventura and Diddy “MADE BAD CHOICES” and questioned when she would “TEACH GIRLS NOT TO MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES YOU MADE?”
