Washington, D.C., was the place to be this past weekend at the BET Honors Awards. The event featured a host of celebs, including Neyo, K. Michelle, Kim Kardashian, Bobby Brown and so many more. BET always delivers a great show and this year was no different. Here’s a list of things you can bet didn’t happen at this year’s awards.
The audience didn’t laugh
Host Wayne Brady never disappoints when it’s time to deliver the belly laughs. If you think Brady’s hilarious antics and showmanship couldn’t be topped, you’re in for a real treat. Brady tore the house down with his creativity and musical talents once again. Find out how he paid tribute to the honorees this time around.
Kanye West finds himself speechless
Honoree Kanye West is known for his opinionated outbursts, and this year he took it up a notch, as he responded to people’s comments about his wife, Kim Kardashian. Make sure you hang on to your seats during his acceptance speech.
Trey Songz loses his sex appeal
The handsome and poised singer will not disappoint with his suave and debonair persona on stage. The “Touchin Lovin” singer paid homage to honoree Usher Raymond by singing one of his classics with a little twist. Ladies, you don’t want to miss that performance.
K. Michelle stops giving you a good show
The sassy singer performed the jaw-dropping statement song, “Judge Me,” and left everyone wanting more. If K. Michelle showing up in that plunging neckline Gucci dress wasn’t a big enough showstopper, her performance definitely was. The singer eloquently blew the house down with her hit song off her latest album, Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart? You don’t want to miss it.
Usher won’t make you cry
The chart-topping performer was completely caught off guard as one of his adored idols presented his Musical Arts Award. He expressed gratitude and humility to be honored this year.
The BET Honors will air Feb. 23 at 9 p.m. EST.
