Chad Johnson became Public Enemy No. 1 after he assaulted his wife, Evelyn Lozada, earlier this month. Since then, Johnson’s career has taken a monumental nose dive and Lozada his filed for divorce, claiming that he needs help. In that time, the one-time Twitter addict has been less talkative on the site. But on Wednesday, Aug. 29, he made his return and publicly took the blame for his current life crisis.
“That awkward moment when you realize you’re not on Madden13 and have to create yourself…,” Johnson tweeted, awkwardly, referring to the iconic football game.
And when one of his followers asked why he deleted his Twitter account, Johnson replied, “I got to start life over and create a new one…”
Shortly afterwards, another follower tweeted that she felt “sorry” for Johnson. But instead of feeling sorry for himself, the disgraced football player instead took full blame for the attack and the downfall of his marriage and career.
“Don’t feel bad, my black a— messed up, I made the bed now I gotta lay n it,” he said.
Well, we have to admit that it’s commendable for Johnson to take responsibility for his actions and the consequences that have followed. Hopefully, when the storm’s blown over and the dust has settled, he’ll come out of all this as a better person.
But he’s not the first star to apologize after a public fallout. Check out some other celebrity apologies below. – nicholas robinson
