Drake: The black millionaire blueprint for success

Drake’s uniqueness and sense of isolation as a kid propelled him to greatness in adulthood. He is the first and only black Jewish rapper and the only Canadian-American one. He was born into a musical family as his father was a drummer for the Rock-N-Roll superstar Jerry Lee Lewis and his mother had strong musical inclinations.

When his parents divorced when he was 5 years old, he lived with his mother and raised Jewish, but felt extreme isolation when he was reared in a progressive, upscale, predominantly Jewish community and school system. He subsequently poured himself into the arts, first as an actor and then as a rapper-singer who would storm across the border via mixtapes that brought him to the attention of a rising superstar and label owner, Young Money’s Lil Wayne.

Let’s take a quick look back at the life of Drake.
