Flavor Flav Arrested for Assault With a Deadly Weapon
Flavor Flav of the seminal rap group Public Enemy, is in jail after being areested for assaulting a family member with a deadly weapon. Flav, whose real name is William Jonathan Drayton Jr., is currently in Nevada’s Clark County jail on charges that he brandished a knife during an argument.
According to public records, the veteran hype man is facing one count of ‘assault with a deadly weapon and one count of battery (domestic violence.) TMZ, who got exclusive access to details of the arrest, reports that Flav got into a heated disagreement with a teen in his home and his fiancée. He then allegedly threatened one of them with a knife and battered the other. It is still unclear which person he physically attacked and whether the teen was one of Flav’s seven children.
He is currently being held on $23,000 bond. Twenty-thousand dollars of the bond is for the assault charge and $3,000 is for the battery. –danielle canada
