Ice-T's 'The Art of Rap', Adam Sandler — Movies to See

Something from Nothing: The Art of Rap (Limited)
Directed by: Ice-T, Andy Baybutt

Maybe too ambitious as the subject is really too huge to tackle in 106 minutes, this documentary from Ice-T is, nevertheless, essential viewing for true rap fans. Featuring a slew of interviews with some of rap’s biggest names, the quotes that come out of this are reason enough to see it. Ice-T also gives the film real credibility. -by joe tobberson

That’s My Boy

Directed by: Sean Anders
StarrThere Sandler goes, teaching Andy Samberg how to make a crap movie. You have to scroll pretty far down Sandler’s IMDb page to find the last movie he made worth seeing. That’s My Boy doesn’t look like it’ll break the streak, but hey at least it doesn’t look like one of those fake movies from Funny People (Jack and Jill). Filmed on Cape Cod, That’s My Boy has Sandler as a deadbeat dad who resurfaces when his son gets married. Samberg seems woefully underutilized as the straight guy here in a movie where the best scenes probably get used up in the trailer.ing: Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Leighton Meester, Susan Sarandon
