Bruce Jenner’s changing looks have been a lightning rod of controversy and gossip for months, and recently they hit the front page of the tabloids again when Kim Kardashian finally addressed the rumors that Jenner is transitioning into a woman. Although Kim didn’t confirm the news, sources now claim that the rumors of his transition are real.
According to People, a source close to the family claims that “Bruce is transitioning to a woman. He is finally happy and his family is accepting of what he’s doing. He’s in such a great space. That’s why it’s the perfect time to do something like this.”
Last week, reports revealed that Jenner will be starring in a docu-series to chronicle his “journey of change.” According to HolllywoodLife.com, the number one name being thrown around for the show is “Trans-Jenner” while another possible name is “Bruce Jenner – My Journey.”
And although the Kardashian kids are reportedly supportive of Jenner’s alleged transition — Kim publicly showed her support on “Entertainment Tonight” — sources claim that Jenner’s ex-wife, Kris Jenner, is in shock about the news.
“Kris is shocked, happy, devastated and relieved, all at the same time. She’s going through a wide range of emotion[s] as we speak,” said an insider. “She understands it, but hates it all at the same time. She really wants to be involved in this process with Bruce, but he won’t allow it.”
People’s insider claims that Jenner decided to keep his transition under wraps to help his family gradually deal with his decision.
“He’s being very smart about and also respectful about his transition,” the insider says. “Instead of completely shocking everyone, his changes have been subtle, and his family has had the chance to slowly get used to his new looks and life.”
Despite the family shake up, the source says that Jenner is happy that he’s finally living freely as a trans woman.
“He has come out to those closest to him. He’s so happy and excited. He gets to lay down a huge bag of bricks. He’s been through a dark period and is coming out on the other side,” the source said.
Jenner has yet to confirm the rumors to the public, but if it is true, we hope he finds happiness as a woman and that his story of transitioning helps to open eyes about the trans community and inspires other trans to live freely.
