For years, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have been both praised and hated for their non-traditional parenting methods. Now it appears that their son Jaden Smith is following suit with his own non-traditional set of beliefs as he recently bashed the world’s school systems and claimed that everyone should drop out.
The teen star made the head-turning comments during an extended rant on his Twitter page last week about the ills of tainted public education.
School Is The Tool To Brainwash The Youth.

Education Is Rebellion.

If Newborn Babies Could Speak They Would Be The Most Intelligent Beings On Planet Earth.

If Everybody In The World Dropped Out Of School We Would Have A Much More Intelligent Society.

Although none of the Smith’s have publicly supported Scientology, though they’ve been linked to it many times, Jaden’s anti-education was reminiscent of Scientology philosophy. Scientology promotes the idea that all humans are immortal souls living in human bodies who have “forgotten their true nature” and must “free” themselves of trauma and miseducation. Of course, in the religion, babies are seen as untainted and free without any knowledge.
However, that may or may not be Jaden or his family’s religious belief, we’ll just have to agree to disagree about education. Although there are definitely some school systems that may be harmful and ineffectual, last time we checked, neither babies or uneducated people could keep society functioning. So, unless he’s has a great alternative to public education, it’s seriously best that people stay in school.
