Jay-Z to BMF: Most shocking drug cases in hip-hop history

Since the ’80s, an abundance of rappers have shown an infatuation with the illegal drug trade. Artists such as Scarface, Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G. have sold a lot of albums by rapping about the perils of selling illegal narcotics.

But while most rappers have kept their dope tales on wax, a few have actually participated in the drug trade and caught severe charges. On Monday, Kareem “Biggs” Burke was sentenced to five years in prison, according to a report on BET.
