Turns out that the Kobe Bryant death stare at Mike Brown killed his career as the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers at the beginning of a wreck of an NBA season.
The same man who fired as the head coach of LeBron James when they both were with the Cleveland Cavaliers three years ago, got his pink slip unceremoniously by the top brass of the Lakers after just five games into the season that was supposed to be full of promise with the additions of superstars Dwight Howard and point guard Steve Nash. Instead, the Lakers started the season 0-3 for the first time since the vaunted Jerry Buss family bought the team and sit at the bottom of their division with a anemic 1-4 record.
Cyberspace was quick to respond to Brown’s surprising ouster, particularly on Twitter and Facebook.
Mike Brown’s firing is the equivalent of firing a college football coach in the 3rd quarter of the 1st game.

LaCrista Dawson of Akron, Ohio was jubilant on Facebook, saying: As VP of Laker Hater Central, I am laughing with you James! Ha Ha Ha Ha!!! Oh how I hate them!!! Put them on the list with Michigan and Pukesburgh Steelers!!!” said the Ohio State and Cleveland Browns disciple.
Derrick Lorand Jackson of nearby Cleveland was also in a celebratory mood, but as a Lakers fan, he believes this will help turn around their pathetic season thus far: “You guys CAN’T be serious. As President of the “Lakers Run Sh–” club, on behalf of our members I’d like to say this is a VANGLORIOUS day for #LakerNation! As stated, it’s only FIVE games in! This is GREAT news! We have plenty of time to gel together under a new coach and a new system. Being a Clevelander we WANTED Mike Brown OUT! Kobe, Howard, Nash, Gasol, etc…The rest of the league is in TROUBLE now, not us!”
