Nick Cannon has seen some rough days in the past several months, thanks to a number of health issues. But now that the entertainer is back on the road to a healthy life, he’s decided to document his journey with a new Web series titled “Ncredible Health Hustle.”
The series, which premiered on April 2, follows Cannon as he works to change his life following his recent health scares, including kidney failure, blood clots in his lungs and being diagnosed with lupus nephritis.
The first episode of the series features footage of Cannon shot in December 2011 when his health problems first began. “A few days ago, I was with my family in the snow, playing, having a good time,” narrates Cannon over black-and-white footage. “All of a sudden, I started swelling up, having shortness of breath, excruciating pain in my right side.”
The episode also features home video footage of Cannon in the hospital, swollen from his medication as well as footage of the entertainer speaking with health professionals and getting visits from loved ones like his wife, Mariah Carey, and their twins and even his grandfather.
“This is my journey. Ups and downs. It’s raw. It’s personal. My setbacks and my triumphs. My pain, my grind, my life,” Cannon explains to the viewers.
The entire series will show Cannon’s travels between seeing his family and hosting “America’s Got Talent.” Fans will even get to see the moment when Cannon makes the decision to leave his New York Radio show.
