Angela Simmons, hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons’ niece, hosted a launch event for her website AngelaIAM at the high-end accessory boutique, Henri Bendel, in New York City. Simmons, who is launching the e-boutique with fashion director Alisha Crutchfield, stated that the collaboration with Henri Bender “just made sense. [Henri Bendel] often works with up-and-coming designers and the site is a platform for up and coming designers as well,” said Simmons.

The event was sponsored by Monster, Moët, Upscale Group, The Diva Lounge, Smile Design Gallery, and Empire Steak House. Atlantic Records recording artist Lauriana Mae performed.

AngelaIAM is a lifestyle brand that gives visitors an opportunity to view and purchase clothing and accessories from the fashion industry’s new and emerging talents. AngelaIAM not only provides a platform for newcomers to the fashion industry, it gives tips and information on beauty, fitness and empowerment.

The duo, Simmons and Crutchfield, aim to have AngelaIAM become a one-stop-shop for both men and women fashion lovers. With many items priced at $25 and up, AngelaIAM is definitely accessible to the average person who happens to have a flare for fashion but may be on a budget. Simmons wants to see her products on “just a young independent girl who is looking for a different style and different clothing.”
