Laverne Cox made history when she became the first transgender woman to be nominated for an Emmy award for her role in “Orange Is the New Black.” So it’s no surprise that when Cox showed up last night at the red carpet for her first ever Emmy Awards and wowed the crowd in a regal white gown.
According to Us Weekly, Cox sashayed onto the red carpet wearing a cleavage-baring white floor-length Marc Bouwer gown with a matching cape and jewel embellishments. Cox finished off the look by tying her golden tresses into a low hanging bun and throwing on a few diamond accessories.
Although she lost to her “OITNB” co-star, Uzo Aduba, Cox undeniably made her mark at the Emmys and solidified herself as one to watch when it comes to red carpet appearances.
Now, she just needs to nab an award to walk the red carpet with. But we have no doubt that she’ll get one of those in the near future. –nicholas robinson
