Looks like pop star Rihanna is lining up her next money making endeavor.
According to the New York Daily News, the “Diamonds” singer is close to signing off on a million dollar deal to be the next face of the Puma athletic brand.
The pending deal would let Rih design her own line of sneakers and some apparel. In addition to those design duties, she’d also be expected to promote the brand and be seen exclusively in Puma gear. It’s widely known that Rihanna has an affinity for adidas, but with a seven figure deal on the table, we’re guessing she’ll be able to let that go.
“She will have to slowly start to incorporate Puma into her wardrobe,” said one insider with knowledge of the deal. “She will be wearing all Puma gear in shoots and out and about.”
This isn’t the first foray into fashion for the Barbados born beauty. Last year she was tapped by MAC cosmetics to create a couple of makeup collections.
“It’s not all down to my voice,” she told British Vogue this past February. “There’s people with way more talent than I when it comes to singing; bigger voices. But people want to know who you are. Fashion is a clear indication, a way to express your attitude, your mood,” she said.
Just this summer Rihanna trademarked a couple of names for probable future fashion ventures including “Fenty Apparel” and “Fenty Clothing,” leading many to believe that she has a clothing line of her own in the works.
Rihanna’s previous endorsements include River Island, a British clothing line, and Armani jeans.
