Streaming media giant Netflix has recently acquired the rights to a new documentary about young women in amateur porn titled “Hot Girls Wanted.”
The heavily buzzed about documentar was directed by Jill Bauer and Ronna Gradus, who serve as producers of the film along with Brittany Huckabee and Quincy Jones’ daughter, actress Rashida Jones.
Jones, known for her roles in hit sitcoms “The Office” and “Parks and Recreation,” says she’s excited about the film and the partnership with Netflix.
“I am so proud of this movie. ‘Hot Girls Wanted’ manages to tell a very intimate story within the ubiquitous, multibillion-dollar and thriving porn industry, a story that will resonate with audiences across the country,” Jones says. “Netflix is the ideal partner for us; not only do they understand this film but they’re the perfect platform to reach the many people who need to see it.”
Netflix executive Erik Barmack says the company is proud to present such a unique film to viewers.
“The filmmakers gained unprecedented access into a world never documented until now, and we are proud to bring their unflinching work to a global audience,” he said.
“Hot Girls Wanted” recently premiered in Sundance’s U.S. Documentary competition and is slated to be available on Netflix later this year.
