Amber Rose scoffs at Illuminati rumors: ‘It is not Satanic’

Just when it seemed like those pesky Illuminati rumors had finally started to become a thing of the past, Amber Rose decided to rock an upside down cross tattoo and get everybody riled up again.

The voluptuous model appeared at Jay-Z’s “Made In America” festival last week, sporting a (presumably temporary) tattoo on her brow of an upside-down cross. When pictures of Rose were published, fans hopped on social media accusing Wiz Khalifa‘s new wife of having satanic ties. Fans admonished her for endorsing the occult and some blog sites began running with the theorists.

But Rose kept quiet until yesterday, when she hopped on Twitter and gave a very brief explanation for the body art — and gave a lot of her detractors a lesson in Christianity history.

“An upside down cross is a St Peter’s cross … .it is not satanic,” she tweeted. “Look it up before u speak ignorance. Good Day.”

Upon his execution, St. Peter requested that he be crucified upside-down because he felt he was unworthy of dying in the same manner as Jesus Christ. In recent years, some death metal bands and anti-religious organizations have re-appropriated the upside-down cross to be an anti-religious symbol.
