Beyoncé’s ‘Self-Titled’ (Part 4) ‘Liberation’
Beyoncé has released yet another part of her “Self-Titled” mini-art feature, this time focusing on the liberating aspect of creating her album. First revealed on “Good Morning America,” the video shows Beyoncé recording music in the Hamptons surrounded by artists, songwriters and producers including The Dream, Sia, Hit Boy and, of course, Jay Z.
The video was shot while Bey was breast-feeding her daughter, Blue Ivy, and working to get back in shape all while secretly recording the project.
“I was 195 pounds when I gave birth, I lost 65 pounds,” said Beyoncé. “I worked crazily to get my body back. I wanted to show my body,” she added.
Beyoncé also touched on her controversial single, “Partition” that includes a video shot at Paris’ “The Crazy Horse” cabaret. According to Bey, she was embarrassed to play it for her husband and even more worried about the scrutiny from her mother.
“I was so embarrassed after I recorded the song because I’m just talking s—!” said Beyonce. “And I’m like ‘I can’t play this for my husband. I still haven’t played it for my mom, she’s gonna be very mad at me,” added the singer.
