“Calm Down,” the collaboration between rhymers Eminem and Busta Rhymes, has gotten a release date. The track will hit the Web on July 1, according to Busta’s Twitter account. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the song’s release, since Busta has spoken about working on something with Em.
“IT’S OFFICIAL!!! THE CONGLOMERATE ENT. PRESENTS… BUSTA RHYMES FT. EMINEM “CALM DOWN” IS COMING JULY. 1ST,” Busta Rhymes tweeted on June 27.
The veteran rapper may have only announced a release date today, but Busta indicated he was working with Slim Shady as far back as September of last year.
“I’ve got a six-minute record with Eminem that sounds like we are respectfully trying to battle each other in a way that you probably never heard us battle in our entire careers on a record,” Busta told XXL back in 2013. “So it’s lot of real incredibly golden moments for us on this project.”
