Chief Keef will never be remembered as one of the greatest lyricists; some believe his raps reflect the ongoing violence in Chicago; and others think that his entire approach to hip-hop is nonsensical. However, Chief Keef has a large following and it’s paying off big time.

According to reports, Chief Keef takes home $13,000 per month. His monthly income was revealed in a recent court hearing involving child support payments for a child he fathered at 15. Keef’s 15-year-old baby’s mother claims the teenage father hasn’t been paying any money for support.

An Illinois judge ruled that Keef must begin to pay $2,600 per month in support and an additional $500 per month for daycare expenses. He will also have to pay more than $10,000 in past due support.

Keef made a name for himself last year with the hit “I Don’t Like.” His celebrity went to another level once Kanye West remixed the song last summer.

Keef is currently working on a new project for Interscope.
