It seems that Chief Keef’s legal problems just won’t end. Only a few days after being sentenced to 60 days in prison for a probation violation, Chief Keef is now being sued by a young girl in middle school who claims that Keef owes her child support.
According to TMZ, the girl recently filed a petition for child support in Chicago against Keef, saying he fathered a baby with her back in 2011.
Although it’s unclear as to what the girl’s exact age is, court documents reveal that she currently attends a Chicago middle school and is assumedly anywhere between the ages of 12 and 14. Keef, who is now 17, would have been 15 at the time of the alleged pregnancy.
Under Chicago law, it’s a misdemeanor for two people under the age of 17 to have sex, even when the sex is consensual. By law, when both parties are between 9 and 17, the older person commits a crime called “criminal sexual abuse.”
If Keef were legally punished, he could face up to a maximum of one year in jail and he would have to register as a sex offender for ten years. However, cases such as this typically go unpunished unless the parents of the younger party press charges.
For now, Keef only has to worry about the girl’s lawsuit as she is suing him for an undisclosed amount of child support, including health insurance and other medical expenses.
