Gucci Mane Returns To Prison After Pleading Guilty to Battery

After vowing earlier this year that he would never again return to prison, ever-troubled rapper Gucci Mane, who just became a free man two months ago, has now been ordered back to prison for six months after pleading guilty to battery and other charges.

According to Billboard, while appearing in an Atlanta court on Sept. 13, Gucci pleaded guilty to two counts of battery, two counts of reckless conduct and one count of disorderly conduct. The charges stem from an incident on Jan. 28, when Gucci pushed 36-year-old Diana Graham out of his moving hummer as he drove down a suburban Atlanta road.  She reportedly rejected a $150 proposition to check-in at a nearby motel.

Upon hearing his guilty plea, State Court Judge Eleanor Ross sentenced Gucci to six months in prison followed by several months on probation, during which he must pay a $3,000 fine. Gucci, who’s now being held in a Dekalb County jail, must also attend and complete 12 weeks of anger management classes, is forbidden to contact Graham and must pay $5,090.54 in restitution to the victim for her medical bills, according to CBS Atlanta.

Hopefully, from here on out, Gucci lets his actions speak louder than his clearly ill-chosen words. –nicholas robinson
