Nicki Minaj responds to Iggy Azalea beef allegations
Nicki Minaj adamantly slams claims that she dissed fellow female rapper Iggy Azalea at the 2014 BET Awards.
As previously reported, Minaj, who accepted two awards at this year’s ceremony, allegedly threw shade at T.I.’s artist when she slammed rappers who don’t write their own lyrics.
“What I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it,” she said.
The crowd let out a collective gasp before Minaj clarified that she meant no offense to any other rapper … “No, no, no shade, no, no, no shade,” she said, smirking.
As you can imagine, social media was sent into a tizzy, alleging that Minaj was questioning the authenticity of Azalea’s music. Now, the Barbie herself is speaking up, nixing all rumors of the beef and congratulating Iggy on her success.
