Rick Ross will no longer serve as a spokesperson for Reebok. The Miami-based rapper faced criticism over lyrics he rapped on Rocko’s song “U.O.E.N.O.” On the song, Rick Ross rapped “Put molly all in her champagne, she ain’t even know it, I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it.”

Rick Ross gave two apologies that some believed wasn’t sincere. He tweeted that the lyrics were interpreted as rape.
Several groups against female abuse protested Rick Ross and Reebok.

Reebok also believed that Rick Ross never put forth an effort to apologize for his discrepancy. On April 11, the shoe company released the statement “We are very disappointed (Ross) has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue.”

Share your thoughts. Do you believe Rick Ross was targeted unfairly, or did Reebok do the right thing by dropping him?
