Talk about Nicki Minaj and Safaree Samuels’ high-profile breakup had been dead for months until last week when Samuels released a new breakup record, “Love The Most,” in which he aired Minaj’s dirty laundry on wax. It didn’t take long for Minaj to respond and blast him with claims that he cheated, but now it seems that Samuels is accusing her of the same thing.
Samuels recently spoke with TMZ photographers about his breakup record, in which he hints that he cheated on Minaj and that she had a wandering eye with Meek Mill with the lines, “Life revolved around the beat, show me a man who won’t cheat / Said I was overreacting, but you did like …”
When the photographer asks Samuels if he cheated on Minaj, he replies, “It’s a two way street.”
Samuels is then asked if he cheated on Minaj to get back at her for cheating on him.
“I’m not perfect. Nobody’s perfect,” Samuels said.
And when it came to allegations that their relationship fell apart over Minaj wanting to be the only star in their romance, Samuels explained that Minaj was unwilling to share the limelight.
“No female is going to want it to change when you come in playing the back. Ain’t nobody gonna be comfortable with you later on trying to rock something else,” Samuels said.
Despite the rocky breakup, Samuels says that he’s in a much better place now.
“I’m happy now. I couldn’t be happier,” said Samuels.
Well, Samuels might be happier now, but it seems like he and Minaj couldn’t be farther apart. Then again, that’s the case for most exes.
