TLC criticizes Rihanna for see-through gown

TLC & Rihanna-001

Rihanna drew a massive amount of praise and shock earlier this week when she appeared at the CFDA Awards wearing a sheer crystal gown that exposed her breasts and nearly naked body underneath. And although many thought the dress was risqué in a good way, TLC thought otherwise and recently criticized Rihanna for always being naked in public.

According to the Daily Mail, early Friday morning in Australia, TLC members Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, who are touring in Sydney, appeared on Channel 7’s Sunrise and gave their opinion on Rihanna’s risqué Adam Selman gown.

“Every time I see you you don’t have to be naked,” T-Boz said.

“It’s hard for us to say anything because any time we do, they say, ‘Oh TLC must be jealous’, but I call a spade a spade,” T-Boz added, predicting the public backlash TLC will likely receive online for criticizing Rihanna.

Despite the probable backlash, Chilli echoed T-Boz’s sentiment and claimed that many women in the industry choose to use their bodies and sexuality to sell themselves to the public.

“We became the biggest girl selling group of all time with our clothes on, and that says a lot,” Chilli chimed in.

“We could go around too with booby cakes [breasts] out all day long,” she said, referring to Rihanna’s gown.

Well, all three women are free to express themselves as they like, and we all know for sure that the Rihanna Navy is about to use their freedom of expression in a very incendiary way toward TLC. –nicholas robinson
