Obama’s Best Jokes About Romney at White House Correspondents' Dinner

President Obama used the occasion Saturday, April 28, with the nation’s spotlight beaming down hard at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner because of the myriad celebrities in attendance, to take a few comedic swipes at the Republican Party and in particular GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

During the dinner, Obama even aimed jokes at his own Secret Service protection, which is still embroiled in an embarrassing sex scandal stemming from patronizing prostitutes during the GSA Summit in Cartanega, Columbia, saying: “I have more material, but I need to get the Secret Service home before their curfew,” which drew huge laughs.

POTUS also even floated a light-hearted jab at his own Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who was pictured tossing back some beers at a nightclub in Columbia in South America: “Despite many obstacles, much has changed during my time in office. Four years ago I was locked in a brutal primary battle with Hillary Clinton. Four years later, she won’t stop drunk texting me from Cartagena,” he said.

Of course, the president saved the balance of his jokes for Mitt Romney and the GOP. Below are a few of Obama’s best-one liners aimed at his presidential predecessor, George Bush, and the Republican Party. -terry shropshire
