Kourtney Kardashian has slammed gossip suggesting her son Mason has become a father at the age of 15. The unfounded rumors spread rapidly across social media platforms before Kardashian’s response.

The 45-year-old reality TV star – who is mother to Mason with her ex Scott Disick – branded the false stories as lies and insisted speculation swirling around her son needs to stop because it’s not remotely true. Celebrity children increasingly face scrutiny online, with many falling victim to false stories and internet hoaxes.

In a statement posted on Instagram, Kourtney expressed that she rarely addresses rumors or conspiracies regarding herself or her family, but this was about her child and it felt wrong to let anyone think for a second that these lies were remotely true. She firmly stated they were not true and that Mason does not have a child. Her strong denial highlighted her commitment to protecting her son from harmful speculation.

She went on to explain Mason has fallen victim to online hoaxers who set the story in motion using fake social media accounts. Digital security experts note that impersonation accounts targeting celebrity children have become increasingly common in recent years.

Kourtney further clarified that these accounts pretending to be him are definitely not him. They are fake. She explained that her son really values his privacy, and she asked all media to please be respectful, noting he is a kid with feelings and a beautiful life ahead of him. She requested people stop spreading false narratives and spinning lies. She also addressed other people making videos about her kids (who are minors), asking them to stop and leave them alone. Her plea resonated with many parents concerned about online safety and privacy for children.

Kourtney is also mother to Penelope, 12, and Reign, 10, with Scott – who she split from in 2015 – as well as her youngest son Rocky, 16 months, with her husband Travis Barker. The Kardashian-Jenner family has often discussed the challenges of raising children in the public eye.

The false story about Mason originated online from an Instagram account purporting to be the teenager’s secret page on the platform with the hoaxers posting pictures of a baby and later claiming the youngster was dad to a baby daughter named Piper. This type of social media impersonation has become a troubling trend affecting many high-profile families.

Mason lives with his dad Scott and the reality regular recently opened up about the dating advice he’s given the teenager. Their relationship demonstrates how divorced parents can maintain healthy communication about raising their children.

During an appearance on Khloe Kardashian’s ‘Khloe in Wonder Land’ podcast, Scott explained that recently, Mason has started to really like girls, and obviously, girls like him. The podcast has become a platform for candid family conversations and parenting insights.

Scott revealed that he tells Mason he can do whatever he wants, but just not to lie and not manipulate any girls. He advises that if a girl tells Mason she maybe wants to do something with him, like hookup and whatever, and if she knows Mason’s not in a relationship with her, Mason shouldn’t tell her he is just to get something out of her. Scott mentioned that Mason understands this, saying he gets it. Scott has heard Mason on the phone telling girls directly that they can do things but they’re friends. Mason tells them straight up because Scott has explained that’s where it becomes problematic. This straightforward approach to discussing relationships with teenagers has been praised by many parenting experts.

The Kardashian-Jenner family has frequently spoken out about the challenges of raising children in the public eye, with Kourtney being particularly protective of her children’s digital presence. Their experiences highlight the unique challenges faced by children growing up in famous families.

Mason, who has largely stayed out of the spotlight in recent years compared to his earlier childhood appearances on “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” continues to be the subject of speculation and false stories. Kourtney’s firm statement serves as a reminder that regardless of their parents’ fame, celebrity children deserve privacy and respect.

The incident underscores the ongoing battle many public figures face in protecting their children from harmful rumors while navigating the complex world of social media and celebrity culture. Kourtney’s direct approach demonstrates her commitment to defending her family against false narratives, particularly when they involve her children.
