Former Disney channel star Raven-Symoné continues to make moves that will enhance her already formidable empire. The singer-actress-entrepreneur is now making her return to television by starring in the new ABC Family comedy “The Great State of Georgia.”
The half-hour comedy will center around Raven-Symoné’s character, Georgia, an aspiring actress trying to make it big in New York and her “science geek” best friend, played by actress Majandra Delfino.
Raven-Symoné first rose to fame as a child actor, playing the role of the adorable little Olivia on the groundbreaking “The Cosby Show.” In her teen years, Raven-Symoné once again used her considerable charm to steal the hearts of millions of preteen Disney fans as the starring character in the hit show, “That’s So Raven.”
“The Great State of Georgia” is scheduled to air this year but no premiere date has been announced for the show. –nicholas robinson
