Cheyenne Woods has had a better season on the golf course than her uncle, Tiger Woods. Cheyenne, a 20-year-old junior at Wake Forest University, captured the ACC women’s individual title on April 17. She outlasted the rest of the field by finishing with a career-best 5-under par and remaining seven shots clear of the closest competitor.
Although Cheyenne shares Tiger’s last name, the two were rarely around each other during her formative years. She is the daughter of Tiger’s estranged half brother, Earl Woods Jr.
But Tiger congratulated Cheyenne through Twitter by posting, “My niece, Cheyenne, just won the ACC golf title by 7 shots! That’s awesome, I’m so proud of her.”
If Cheyenne entered the LPGA, she would instantly have name recognition. Her great looks should also garner her a few endorsement deals as well. –a.r.
