In an interview with vibe.com, Tiny explains that being married to a rapper has been easier for her than people would think.
“I’ve been with him before he was all of that, and once he became this big sex symbol … I understood what was going to come with it because I had already been in the business,” said Tiny. “I’m just comfortable in my position and where I stand and what our values are. We’re on the same page.”
Tiny also reveals that T.I.’s repeated trips to prison have been trying for her, to say the least.
“It’s been like a roller coaster. Tip came home at the end of ’09, around Christmas time last year, and it was about getting the family back together,” said Tiny. “And then we got married. That was the high of the year, and then three months later he was gone ― back again.”
Despite the hardships of having her husband locked away in prison, Tiny explains that crumbling wasn’t an option for her once he left. Being his main source of support became her priority.
“After this happened I was just trying to be strong and uplift him, because he was going through a lot just knowing that he’s back in this predicament over something so small and something that got blown out of proportion,” she explained..
Through it all, Tiny confidently admits that life for her and T.I. will only get better after all of the trials and tribulations they’ve faced this past year.
“I see 2011 being one of my best years, as far as a wife, a mother, an entrepreneur — just being the woman I want to be,” said Tiny. “Tip? I think he’s gonna come back harder than ever … and like I said, everything happens for a reason.”
