Olympic athlete Gabby Douglas makes teen millionaire list

The Heart Truth 2013 Fashion Show - Arrivals

During the 2012 Olympics, Gabrielle Christina Victoria “Gabby” Douglas made the huge leap from being very much unknown to having her name show up everywhere under the sun. This teen girl’s gymnastic prowess proved to be as awe-inspiring as it was fluent for a crowd of global on-lookers who couldn’t miss a minute of her floor exercises. Gabby, as she is affectionately called, won Gold at the Olympics, and now everything she touches turns to gold. At the tender age of only 17, this young athlete is already a self-made millionaire.

Gabby began her quest for fame in the gym, but her quest for fortune started out pretty much the way it does with most Olympic winners – with her face prominently positioned on a box of Kellogg’s Corn Flakes. That endorsement deal alone is worth a small fortune, but Gabby didn’t stop there; she now has her own line of leotards for gymnastics. The line is sure to be a success with support from young girls who look up to Gabby.

She has also published a book titled Grace, Gold and Glory: My Leap of Faith, which has already become a hot seller around the country. –mark anderson
