Gov. Nathan Deal signed legislation Thursday that effectively legalizes medical marijuana in Georgia, though tremendous hurdles remain for patients who want to get the drug.

Trinidad James won’t face charges

Trinidad James was arrested in Batesville, Mississippi this past weekend after he was allegedly caught smoking marijuana in a hotel room. Despite the incident at the Batesville Holiday Inn, it appears that the Atlanta rapper won’t have to worry about the repercussions.

Lil Boosie’s prison release has been unexpectedly delayed

It was widely reported in January that incarcerated rapper Lil Boosie would be released from Louisiana State Penentientary in mid-February. But music journalist Jeff Weiss posted on Twitter this weekend that Boosie, born Torrence Hatch, won’t be leaving prison as soon as was expected. According to Weiss, Boosie will not be released in February after all.

Suge Knight wanted by the police, again

An arrest warrant has been issued for former hip-hop mogul Suge Knight. According to TMZ, Knight failed to appear in court in Los Angeles. A judge immediately issued a warrant for the Death Row Records founder’s arrest.

Robin Thicke, Pharrell sue Marvin Gaye’s family over ‘Blurred Lines’

Robin Thicke, Pharrell and Clifford “T.I.” Harris have filed a lawsuit in California federal court against the family of late soul legend Marvin Gaye and Bridgeport music, owner of several of Funkadelic’s compositions, in order to protect the hit single “Blurred Lines” from a possible legal backlash.
