It’s been all but confirmed that Bruce Jenner is transitioning into a woman, especially since his mother, Esther Jenner, claimed that he’d come out to her as a transgender woman. And although she was supportive of her son’s decision to transition, a new report is claiming that Jenner’s ex-wife, Kris Jenner, wasn’t so happy about him being transgender.
As previously reported, Bruce didn’t tell his family and friends about his transition until a couple of months ago, and he decided to wait so long to transition because he wanted to gradually reveal to his family and friends that he’s really transgender.
According to TMZ, Kris was shocked and angry that after 22 years of marriage Jenner revealed to her that he wants to be a woman.
Family sources say that Kris, like everyone else in the family, saw the tabloid reports about Jenner’s changing appearance. But there was “a serious lack of communication in the marriage” and Bruce never spoke to her until recently about his transition.
Bruce revealed the news of his transition during a recorded family meeting and when he shared the news, Kris challenged him, saying she didn’t believe he wanted sexual reassignment surgery. However, Bruce stood his ground and explained that his transition was really happening.
Kris then complained that his revelation was a prime example of how he never communicated with her during their marriage.
Luckily though, a previous report claims that, although Kris is struggling with Bruce’s transition, she ultimately loves and supports him.
Well, we can understand why the news came as a major shock to Kris, but we hope she one day fully comes to terms with Bruce’s decision and can, once again, be fully invested in being his friend and partner in parenting their kids.
