Ever since the rise of the Kardashian clan, the knock on the family is that with no discernible talents to speak of, they are essentially famous for nothing.
Of course it was socialite sibling Kim Kardashian’s infamous sex tape with then-boyfriend Ray J that propelled the family into the spotlight. Since the sextape was released in 2007, after Kim dropped a lawsuit against the production company and settled for $5 million, the Kardashians have gone on to start and be a part of a number of businesses including fashion ventures, a line of fragrances, and their hit television show “Keeping Up WIth the Kardashians.”
When asked about the notion that her family is falsely famous during an interview with “Access Hollywood,” Kardashian says she doesn’t give it much thought.
“To be honest, I don’t really pay too much attention to it,” she says. “I get more fed up with questions like — I was travelling recently and I was doing a press day and people were like, ‘How do you feel when people say what do you do?’ And I’m like, ‘I’m here working aren’t I? Like, I’m here to promote something.”
The 34-year-old entrepreneur, who recently released a book of selfies entitled Selfish, went on to tell “Access Hollywood” she dares people to find someone who works as hard as she does.
“Tell someone else that you think can do it to do it,” Kardashian boasts. “Tell them to do everything that I’ve done in my career and see if they end up where I’m at. Try it. Just try it. I dare you.”
Kardashian is currently filming Zoolander 2, which is scheduled to hit theaters in 2016.
