It came as quite the shock last month when it was revealed that Porsha Williams had been dropped from the main cast of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and replaced by newcomer Claudia Jordan. But now there’s rumor spreading that Bravo isn’t done with Williams and that she’s getting a spin-off.
When news first surfaced that Williams had been demoted, she released a statement saying that she was shocked but that fans could look forward to something new from her in the near future.
“I was blindsided by the announcement from the network that I was demoted. … Unfortunately, I can only be Porsha, and portraying anything else would not be genuine nor honest. This is the beginning of a new chapter in my life, and I will be giving my fans & supporters another chance to watch my growth as I take on the world in my own special way very soon! Stay tuned.”
But according to MediaTakeOut, Williams’ new project is her own Bravo spin-off series.
“[Bravo] immediately signed her on to do her own spin-off show, like the one that Kim Zolciak has,” said a source.
Details about Williams’ alleged new series were scarce, but the source said that “Porsha is set to begin filming at the start of the year.”
Well, we’re still waiting to see if the report is true or not, but considering that Williams is still signed with “Dish Nation,” we’ll still be seeing Williams around even if she doesn’t get her own show. – nicholas robinson
