Allen Iverson is the reason NBA players follow hip-hop artists. He was the first player to embrace the culture and he created a direct connection between NBA and rap by recording rap songs and using rappers to promote his signature shoes.
But instead of Wu-Tang Clan, NBA players now follow the style of Kanye West.
