Daniel St. Hubert, 27, was paroled May 23, but why? The deranged ex-con is mentally challenged and is possessed by an evil spirit to kill. That’s why Prince Joshua “P.J.” Avitto, 6, has died and Mikayla Capers, 7, is in critical condition. The pair were brutally stabbed. Avitto was hacked to death inside of the elevator while Capers was able to escape the East New York (Boulevard Houses in Brooklyn) apartment building’s elevator before it was too late. They were going out for ice cream on that fateful day, Sunday, June 1.

The “kitchen-variety steak knife” wielder was stopped for public urination on Wednesday and released. Hours later, he was arrested at his mother’s house in Queens.

Chicago Bulls Player Taj Gibson was saddened by the news of the death of his little cousin and posted on Instagram: “They killed my lil super man…”

The boy’s father tells media, “God gave me a blessing. I had him at 50. He was born on Father’s Day. I will remember his smile, his arrogance, [and] his stubborn little ways. He’d say, ‘Daddy, you all right!’”

The day after P.J.’s murder, his father Nicholas Avitto placed the boy’s superheroes backpack over his shoulder and walked down the path from their Brooklyn housing project to Public School 306 just like old times.

St. Hubert has not yet been officially charged for the murder and assault.
