The New York Urban League Young Professionals is anorganization that serves as an empowering entity for young professionals in the New York City area. The social service organization has been improving the social and economic conditions for those lacking in cultural, social and financial capital for almost a century. In 2010 NYULYP, celebrated its 90th anniversary.
Every year, for the last 10 years, the New York Urban League Young Professionals has hosted a black-tie affair called REBIRTH! The primary goal is to raise funds so that the organization may continue to provide scholarships, disseminate information and advocacy. REBIRTH! also pays tribute to the economic and creative contributions of the most influential African Americans. The theme of the for the event was “Harlem Nights,” which was apparent in the décor, dress and specialty cocktails provided by Hennessy.
