A-Rod and 12 other players were banned from baseball for at least 50 games for their connection to illicit performance-enhancing drugs and the Miami-based Biogenesis Lab in Miami, which is now defunct. A-Rod is the only player of the 13 who is appealing the suspension and he was the object of full-throated boos when his New York Yankees played the Chicago White Sox in the Windy City on Monday, Aug. 5.
