It’s the season premiere of “Everybody Hates Chris” and our protagonist Chris is underachieving at school. So he is sent to a guidance counselor played by who else? Chris Rock. The counselor is to direct Chris in his academic endeavors. All the while Chris’ parents are fighting about the decisions they’ve made in their lives together. Chris Rock and writing partner, Ali LeRoi, clearly are still too focused on Rock as the gateway through which all things funny must pass. Shouldn’t it be called “Everybody Sucks Up To Rock?” –forrest green III
