The historic Hotel St. Regis has reopened its doors after undergoing massive renovations. The newly refurbished landmark boasts a new face, while maintaining the majestic integrity that has sealed its position as one of the city’s most celebrated gems. Management partner Marc Johnson is very proud to be a part of this miraculous moment in Detroit history. “It’s been very, very exciting,” Johnson says of the renovations.
“As management partner, I manage the investments of our investors, and I act as a liaison between the owners and the operating staff,” he adds. “I love the excitement [and] no two days are the same at the Hotel St. Regis. I love having the ability to be able to serve our customers and … hoist them up on pillows when they come through the door — we don’t put them down until they depart.”
From the acclaimed Cajun steakhouse to the star-studded entertainment, Johnson proclaims that the staff goes all out to capture the hearts of their guests.
“At the Hotel St. Regis, you can stay where the stars stay. We’re a boutique hotel, [so] we’re not a part of a chain or a network, that means we can give quality customer care and attention,” he says. “We’re like the city in which we live … we’re undergoing a major transformation and image transformation.
