When
the hit CBS show “Numb3rs” sought to spice things up a bit,
they added beautiful actress Sophina Brown to an already talented cast.
Supremely confident in the spotlight, Brown flourished in the role,
adding a breath of fresh air to the impressive show.
“The experience on the show has been great,” Brown shares
while taking a much-needed day off from an intensive shooting schedule.
“The character is very different from me, as she is very
physical. So it has been very challenging for me in a lot of different
ways, with all of the stunt work that has to be done. But the entire
process has been a lot of fun.”
An added satisfaction to being on a complex mathematical show like
“Numb3rs” is the ability to look smart while avoiding the
intricate math equations that leave many scratching their heads in
wonderment. “I’m glad that I don’t have to worry
about reciting a lot of the complex math talk that serves as the basis
of the show,” she explains with a laugh. “I’m just
blown away watching that process develop every day on [the] set. But my
character mainly deals with FBI jargon, so it’s definitely not as
complex. It’s still tough, just a different kind of tough.”
The toughness Brown seeks to evoke in her character also finds its way
into her daily journey as she continues to climb up the rungs of the
Hollywood food chain. While her tough as nails resilience keeps her
unflappable in the face of adversity, it’s her faith that
continues to push her on to greatness. “I wouldn’t be
anywhere without my faith, and my belief in God,” she says.
“I believe that God has a plan for my life, so I am just trying
to fulfill my purpose on Earth. I feel very blessed.” –dewayne rogers
