There are bad B-movies and then there are really bad B-movies, and writer-director Jonas Quastel’s Scourge is one of the latter. The story line revolves around a monster called The Scourge, which has been freed after being buried in a church for 150 years. The insect-like creature passes into a human host through his or her navel and leaves via the mouth, which is an MO similar to one used in the 1987 sci-fi film, The Hidden. But originality is not a strong suit of this feature.
