First-time writer-director Chris J. Ford has crafted a richly sentimental and humorous tale about society’s mores. Art Leroldi (John Ratzenberger of “Cheers”) is a barber living mostly in the past. When his business partner dies, Art gets to a point where he might lose his prized possession — the village barbershop. Ford creates a wonderfully quirky — if flawed — film that makes him someone to watch for in the future.
